Age Limit & Selection Process

  • Age Limit: No upper age limit for Assistant Professor. For JRF: Maximum 31 years as on exam date
  • Age Relaxation for JRF: 05 years for SC/ST/PwD/Women, 03 years for OBC, as per UGC norms
  • Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) – Paper I (Teaching & Research Aptitude) + Paper II (Subject Specific)

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Assistant Professor (Starting): Level 10 – ₹57,700 – 1,82,400/- (7th Pay Commission) + AGP ₹6,000
  • JRF Fellowship: ₹31,000/month (first 2 years) + ₹35,000/month (remaining period) + HRA
  • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA, Medical, Travel Allowance, Research Grant
  • Job Security: Central/State University permanent positions after JRF
  • Career Growth: Assistant Professor → Associate Professor → Professor
