Salary & Pay Scale Details- Pay Scale: Level 2 – ₹19,900 – 63,200/- (7th Pay Commission)
- Grade Pay: ₹1,900/- (as per 7th CPC)
- In-Hand Salary: ₹30,000 – 35,000/- (including allowances)

Exam Difficulty & Competition Analysis- Difficulty Level: High – Technical knowledge and aptitude test required
- Expected Applications: 40-50 lakh candidates for 18,799 posts
- Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:2100 to 1:2700 (Very High Competition)
- CBT Stage-I Cut-off Range: 40-60% marks for general category
- CBT Stage-II Cut-off Range: 50-70% marks for general category
- CBAT Qualifying Marks: 42 marks (Same for all categories)
- Preparation Time: 8-12 months recommended for thorough preparation
- Success Rate: Less than 0.05% selection rate – Requires intensive preparation

Exam Center Details- All India: CBAT examination will be conducted at various centers across India
- Major Cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad
- Regional Centers: Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Bhopal, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar
- Zone-wise Centers: All 21 RRB regions will have designated exam centers
- Preference: Exam center allocation based on CBT Stage-II qualified candidates’ region
- Final exam center details will be mentioned in the CBAT admit card
